About Blue Turtle Botanicals
Darcey Blue French, Herbalist

Darcey Blue, a life-long lover and student of the plant world, has studied the healing powers of the plants since girlhood. After graduating from college and struggling with the 9-5 work world, she decided to follow a path closer to her heart: healing and helping and working closely with the plants around her. Darcey recieved her clinical and nutritional training at the North American Institute for Medical Herbalism.  She has apprenticed with Rosemary Gladstar at Sage Mountain, and the Tucson Clinic of Botanical Medicine. In addition has years of personal, hands on experience using the medicine plants for herself and her clients.  She believes plants can offer us a path to helping ourselves, and healing our relationship with our Mother Earth. But healing is more than just drinking tea; it starts with heartful intentions, and changes within and without.

Darcey Blue is committed to providing only organic and ethically wildcrafted herbs and remedies. While many of the herbs are harvested straight from the wild, many plants come from fragile ecosystems, or are threatened by overdevelopment, overharvesting, or climate changes. She will only harvest from the wild when she can be sure that the plants are safe and healthy, and they are abundant and unthreatened. We will use threatened or endangered medicinals only if organically cultivated, or sustainably wildcrafted - if at all. We have made a commitment to responsible wildcrafting. This means some items may not always be available, or we may run out. We will do our best to supplement with organically grown herbs when possible. Please understand that some of our native and local plants cannot be purchased reliably or organically, and when the current years harvest runs out, we may have to wait a few months before we can resupply.
